Who We Are
MedEd Authors is a joint venture between two individuals, bringing over 40 years of combined expertise and success in the online education and medical industries.
Together, we harness the digital environment to offer innovative ways to learn, connect, and share.
At MedEd Authors we employ ‘Concept Associations’ to imprint desired skills and concepts in the brain. During our course development phase we incorporate biological algorithms to enhance persistence and resilience similar to computer gaming environments.
When a learner is on the verge of giving up, they experience a positive event that triggers the release of endorphins, fostering satisfaction and a drive to continue. We affectionately refer to this as encouraging ‘Binge Learning.’

William L. Hoover II, MD
Dr. William Hoover is the CEO and cofounder of two educational technology companies, in Boston, MA: MedEd Authors and 529LLC. These companies provide cutting edge learning and training solutions.
Dr. Hoover is a nationally recognized digital author for McGraw-Hill Education and serves on their Executive Advisory Board. He develops and implements web-enhanced, blended, and online learning/training programs for over 200 colleges and universities across the United States.
Internationally, he has provided similar services to universities in India, Africa and Azerbaijan.
His expertise is acclaimed both nationally and internationally. He has been a speaker at prestigious conferences such as Educause, Campus Technology, Blackboard World, NERCOMP and HAPS. Additionally, he was selected to speak at the Oxford Round Table in England.
